I found it to be pretty grating and not that pleasant a read for the following reasons:Entertaining little story. Just males. Moonlight hits your eyes so you get up to close the curtains.

It is extremely loveable. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, the Fleshlumpeater, the Bonecruncher, or any of the other giants-rather than the BFG-she would have soon become breakfast.
The tale is loads of fun.
